The Men's Academy is a small, private academy for men who want to become whole: body, mind, heart and purpose working as one. We study the men who managed it, read the books they read, and do the work together, live, in cohorts that start on a date and end on one.
Most advice for young men is a list of rules, and a list of rules has never made anyone into anything. We start from men instead. Each cohort studies lives: how a particular man built his body, trained his judgement, handled what he felt, chose his work and kept his word, and what it cost him. Not biography as entertainment. Biography as instruction, read closely enough to be used.
Every man worth studying was formed by what he read, so we read it too: Plato to MacIntyre, in order, whole, with a pencil. The list is public and free, in the seven-day course. The Academy is where it gets read among other men who are reading it, which turns out to be the part that works.
A live seminar every week, on camera, where you say what you think the text means and are argued with by men who have done the reading. Cohorts are small on purpose. A seminar with one man who has not done the reading is a worse seminar for everyone, which is why there is an application and a call before anyone joins.
See the role models. Understand how they got there. Join a cohort and do the work with men who are doing it too. Become, in time, the example for the next man. That is the whole programme; nothing in it is secret, and nothing in it is quick.
$97/month, cancel any time. Admission is by application and a fifteen-minute call with our representative. The essays and the free course cost nothing and never will.
